Welcome friends! We have such a treat today. The adorable and talented Emma Wood is sharing some ideas today using a few of our stamps. She is so unique in her style and creates such beautiful works of art! Her fun take on using our sets will bring a smile to your face. Enjoy!
Hello Stamp Market friends! It’s Emma Wood here and I am so excited to be a Guest Designer on the blog today! I’ve been eyeing quite a few of these stamps for some time and I finally got my act together enough to pick a few up. I have to admit that stamping is a new found love for me; for are really long time I was too afraid to give stamping a go. And I’m so happy to have a few of the Stamp Market stamps in my collection now; they truly are gorgeous!
Here’s the page I created using a couple different sets:
I have an obsession with all things circles. I’ve created dozens of pages using them in my design so you can bet as soon as I saw the dots included in the “Perfect Pieces” stamp set that I knew I was going to create a background with circles on it! I stamped a few black circles onto plain white cardstock then picked a couple bright colours of ink and splattered those around the page. Originally they were set to full page size (I scrap 6x8 pages) but I trimmed it down a little so I could use a bright pink patterned paper to create a border around my page.
Next up I stamped and cut a few of the small bows that are included in the “Bows for You” stamp/ cut bundle. They are the cutest and I ended up stamping/cutting around a dozen in different colours (I only used a bright pink and yellow here but I used another one for a gift tag which I’ll share later on too!).
For my title I knew I was going to use the “Brushy Script” stamp set. It’s such a lovely script font! (It was definitely the first thing in my cart! Ha!). I stamped the word “little” then fussy cut them out using my trusty little scissors.
I picked a few alpha stickers to finish my title (making sure I kept the same colours!), typed up my journaling on my computer (I “cheat” a little and use a typewriter font then just print it out!). The whole page came together so easily once I had the background sorted. I just love black and white with bright pops of pink and yellow!
As I mentioned a bit earlier, I’d also stamped/cut quite a few more of the bows while I was putting my layout together. Actually I always make more than I need when I’m stamping/cutting – mostly incase I make a mistake and ruin one, then I’ve got another, but also because if I’m stamping/cutting then I like to make it worthwhile and make spares to use later on haha.
I’ve got a little present to post to a dear friend and I had the box sitting on my desk ready to pretty up so I finally got it finished! I picked a few random die-cuts from my stash and created a little tag that I think has come out looking quite cute!
I die-cut the word “friend” (which is in the “Scripty Hellos” die set) and quickly machine stitched it to the die-cut card. Then I popped one of my spare “bows” ontop (meant to look like a giant bow-tie!).
The rest of the tag is just made up of layered die-cuts that are clipped together with a gold binder clip (I don’t staple/stitch them together so she can always re-use them later on if she wants ) but I create a backing pattern card by stamping more pink circles onto white card (so that the colours of that tied in with the pink of my “bow-tie”!).
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! I hope these might inspire you when creating your next project using the amazing Stamp Market stamps/die sets!
Take care, Em xo
