Hello! One of our favorite things as I'm sure with any company is seeing all these amazing and talented people use product in such different ways. It's so rewarding. Today we have the talented Dana Fleckenstein with us sharing her clean designs and fabulous use of products to create a couple cards that are sure to inspire you to create something today.
Hi there, it's Dana here on the blog today. I'm delighted and honored to be a guest designer this week! As I anticipated the arrival of the stamp sets Amy sent me, I started to think about what kind of cards I could create for you. Honestly, this was a little daunting because I wanted to do the beautiful clean stamp designs justice and show the versatility of the sets.
So, for today, I designed two cards mixing three stamp sets. For the first card, I stamped the diamond pattern from the Trendy Background Builder set with black ink onto a white card base. The images from the Succulent Stamp Set are the perfect size to use on 3 x 4 in PL cards. For more dimension, I die cut the plant pot from self-adhesive canvas and stamped the pot in gray ink. Then, I used a very light aqua color for the succulent so I could use my watercolors to paint over the stamped image without it showing underneath. After the image had dried, I added a layer of Glossy Accents on top. Some decorative sewing, paint sprinkles and a sentiment from the Succulent Stamp Set finishes the card off.
The second card has the larger "Hello" sentiment from the Memo Stamp set as a focal point. For some added interest, I picked up an ink pad similar to the greenish color from the patterned paper in the background and stamp the smaller "hi" stamp on my tag. Before adhering my top layer to the card base, I just had to use the swiss dot pattern from the Trendy Background Builder set a second time with watermark ink. It's a subtle and interesting way to make use of your stamp sets without overpowering the overall design.
What can I say, you really can't go wrong with these trendy stamp images! Thank you so much for joining me today - I'll be back later this week to share another card with you.
Have a great day!
