Hey everyone, it's Taheerah and I'm so happy and excited to be back on The Stamp Market blog with my second Guest post! I'm sure you've been loving all the inspiration everyone has been posting with the amazing August Release goodies!
Today I stepped away from the flowers and went with something totally different:
Fun right?! I used the medium sized plaid builder stamp from the Just Checking In stamp set to build my background, stamping it with Versamark ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. The stamps in this set are a breeze to line up and I was able to create my background in no time at all![rainbow plaid card photo 004]
Once I had heat embossed my pattern I then applied a watercolour wash with various diluted rainbow colours. I *love* the happy vibe that a pastel rainbow brings!
I didn't want my sentiment to detract too much from that pretty background, so I stamped the 'hello' onto vellum and heat set with gold sparkly embossing powder, fussy cut it out and adhered onto my card with dimensional glue gel.
This card is just, so... happy!
For my second card I used the same set but with a totally different outcome:
I think this one has to be my favourite! It's so dramatic!
I stamped the dot cluster repeatedly to create my confetti background, stamping in the same area several times to build up the density of the dots more towards the top. So much fun! These got the gold embossing powder treatment - I just love gold confetti!
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, then watercoloured a grey ombre look onto the card front.
Definitely a card with impact!
I hope you've loved these cards as much as I've loved creating them! I've had such a blast guesting for The Stamp Market and playing with these amazing products! Make sure you grab yours too so you can create your own magic! Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks so much once again for having me as a guest Amy! It has been my absolute pleasure to show off your wonderful products!
