Happy Monday! It's a week full of ideas starting with our Guest Blogger Nichol Spohr who is sharing a fun and colorful card using the Just Checking In Stamp Set and Flower Market Stamp Set . With Summer days coming to an end let's enjoy these bright and summery cards while we can.
Hello again friends! Nichol here today and I am thrilled to be joining you with a guest designer project for The Stamp Market! Today I paired the new Just Checking In Stamp Set with the Flower Market stamps and dies for this Hello Card.
The large hello greeting from the Just Checking In Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock at an angle with black dye ink. The MISTI Creative Corners make stamping at an angle super easy! Once the greeting was stamped, I masked off the top of the panel at an angle and created a plaid design with the Just Checking In plaid builder stamps. Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Twisted Citron add a fresh, colorful look to the plaid design. Once stamped, I removed the masking tape. I love this technique as no additional layers of paper were necessary!
For the rest of the greeting, a phrase from the Just Checking In Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was cut into a thin strip and adhered at an angle, disguising the plaid bottom section from the top part of the card background.
A flower and leaves from the Flower Market Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen. Once dry the images were die cut with the coordinating Flower Market Dies and adhered to the card as shown.
The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base with foam adhesive and finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops that match the colors of the card.
Thanks for joining me today!
