Simple Embossed Backgrounds
It is my humble opinion that The Stamp Market has some of the best background stamps around and a great way to show them off is to create simple embossed backgrounds!
These cards were created with some of my favorite background stamps in 3 easy steps!
- Stamp & emboss backgrounds on white cardstock. I used clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder but white ink & powder would work as well. And I used the Jumbo Criss Cross, Criss Cross & Flower Power background stamps.
- Add color over embossed background. I used Distress Oxide inks with ink blending tools but many mediums would work. And then I used a dry paper towel to gently rub off any excess ink from the embossed design.
- Add die cut sentiment. I used the little sentiments from the Jumbo Tag die set, die cutting them from the background panel. Then I adhered the panel to a card with a contrasting bit of ink blending so the color would show through the negative die cut like the yellow under the blue panel. Using the positive die cuts on top of the panel would work well too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
