Happy Birthday Shaker Card
You might already know that I LOVE shaker cards! I can and will turn pretty much any die cut into a shaker window but one of my favorite type of dies to use is alphabets like the Something Extra Alpha! It is such a great set!!!
I find the easiest way to line up alphabet dies is to use a ruler to draw a light pencil line across the card and then place the top or bottom of the die on the line. For this card, I spelled out “happy”, leaving room for the second “p” when I secured my dies with a little low tack tape.
After die cutting my word, I stamped the scripty “birthday” from the Party Pieces set to finish my phrase.
For the birthday balloon, I layered 3 of the balloon die cuts from the Party Pieces Dies, coloring the one on top with Bubble Gum ink (but if I was smarter, I would have cut it from Bubble Gum cardstock, LOL). After adhering the balloons together, I gave the top a good coating of Glossy Accents and then sprinkled it with a little of the same glitter I used in the shaker window.
I hope you are inspired to create some word shakers!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
