Hello! This is Rebecca Luminarias popping in today with some festive gift tags that feature some of the November release products, as well as some older Stamp Market favorites.
This is the time of year that gift wrap lovers like me have been waiting for! Luckily, The Stamp Market is run by a like-minded gal, and she knows a thing or two about wrapping presents. Gift wrapping doesn’t have to be complicated, either; a cute tag and a bit of trim can do wonders for any package. I’m using TSM ribbons with the large Tag’d die to create pretty presents.
I wrapped my first box in blush pink paper and chose the white ribbon, along with some gold glitter paper trim that I created with the Scallops Border dies. Easy enough, right? All that’s left is to add a pretty tag.
After cutting a tag from white card stock, I stamped the green lines on it with the ribbon stamps from Bunch of Bows. And while I had that set out, I stamped a couple bows—a small one in pink and a larger bow in a light yellow-green. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, then made another little bow from some pale pink tulle and gold thread. I set them all aside to arrange on my tag later.
I stamped and cut some leaves from the Joyful Blooms set, as well as ‘joy’ in red ink. They’re so easy to use and so pretty, too. I spent a little time deciding on just the right placement for all of my die cut images and just before I was ready to adhere them in place, I stamped “Happy Holidays” in the center of the tag. The modern type really stands out in black ink, which is the reason I chose it instead of a color.
After gluing most of my die cuts in place, I put some small adhesive 3-D foam dots strategically on the back of the joy word and placed it atop the leaves and branches. I even cut down a tiny little piece, so I could lift the dot of the ‘j’ up off the tag.
When all is done, I attached the tag to the gift. Soft pink with pops of color and shine; this will look pretty under any tree!
The second package, colorwise, is a bolder choice with rich green and a deeper pink. I covered the box in green tissue paper, then wrapped 3 rows of ribbon around the center in red, pink, and white.
During October’s release, I picked up the Merry Days Stamp & Cut bundle, so I thought I’d go with a little candy cane mix for this present, wrapping a candy cane in some silver-dotted fabric to tie onto the gift along with the tag.
I stamped a couple of candy cane images—one of each in pale and bright pink—and die cut them. I whipped up a few bows for this tag, too, because you really can’t have too many of those! Another stamped and cut ‘joy,’ this time in Christmas green.
I sneaked in one more small tag which can be found in the Made with Love set, as can the striped stamp at the end of the tag. I stamped ‘To’ on that, so that it’s all ready for addressing when I’m ready to give it away.
Making tags is one of my most favorite parts of wrapping holiday gifts, and it’s even more fun with super-cute stamps and dies! I love that I could create 2 very different tags and packages using mostly the same sets and trims—it just goes to show you how versatile these goodies are.
