Hugs & Hello’s
Hi, Everyone! This is Caly again and I’m back to share a card set with you using one rainbow panel that I created using Distress Oxide Inks. The Paper Hug & Hello Serif dies that I’m using are absolutely terrific and I adore them!
I used a white A1-sized panel and ink-blended it with Distress Oxide Inks to create a rainbow pattern. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect – as long as the transition from one color to the next is smooth, that’s all that matters. As you can see from my photo, it’s not perfect and it’s ok!
The colors I used were Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Squeeze Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet. Without much wasted space, I was able to cut the words Paper Hug twice and Hello once. Each word is carefully adhered to the halo die-cut using foam adhesive for added dimension.
This first card is made by adhering the paper Hug word to a black halo. The bear and hearts from Bear Hugs are stamped on a white card panel and colored simply with Copic markers and the die-cut word is added.
The second card is adhered over a white halo to adhere over kraft cardstock. The sentiment is also from the Bear Hugs stamp set and is embossed over black cardstock using white embossing powder as was the sentiment on the previous card.
Finally, my last card is created using the Hello word. I stamped the panda from the Bear Hugs stamp set in line with where I wanted to place the word hello. To give this card a bit more interest, I added a strip of diagonal striped cardstock at the bottom of the card.
I hope you like these cards! Thank you so much for joining me today!
