Today’s post is all about the new You’re Wonderful Stamp set and I’m sharing a little different approach to using a detailed line floral. I LOVE florals and I love that with very little effort they are just simply beautiful.
Here are a few ways for you to consider using your florals without watercolor.
This stamp set was designed with detail lines and solids to help create some interest and to provide a little extra versatility. The large greeting is separated to allow you to customize in a few different ways. Here I’ve just used a portion of the greeting.
I wanted to mention one thing. When you sit down to create to you have these little rules that you think you must follow? Like, Leaves have to be green like nature. Try breaking those “rules” 🙂
I love a little black and white with a pop of color. You don’t always need to color your detailed line stamps- this image especially can stand on it’s own but the secret is adding a little dimension and a pop of color with a greeting.
This stamp looks amazing just stamped in 1 color and is large enough to cover the card and act as a background for a greeting. I’ve used the new “free” with purchase dies Thanks so much for some added interest and dimension.
I love some good color blocking. Ink or paper works for this idea. Layer your favorite colors in 1″ strips on a diagonal and emboss the image in white directly on top for some contrast. Again adding a little dimension will finish is off. I used the new Great Big Hi Die in white.
I hope you will try a few of these ideas with your floral sets. It’s a fun approach to getting more out of your stamps!
Happy Stamping, XoXo
